Blake Brantley - Impact of Coffee on Health
Is coffee harmful to your health? Coffee has been found to positively impact one's health in numerous ways, including the metabolization of carbohydrates and lipids, reducing the chance diabetes and liver disease, and protection from Parkinson's disease. Contrary to popular belief, coffee doesn't seem to impact arrhythmia. Coffee also reduces mortality and favors risk reduction for cancer, although the tissue concerned is the most important factor. I have only had one cup of coffee in my entire life. This occurred when I was younger and I had strongly disliked the taste. Although I can definitely see myself enjoying coffee now, I don't allow myself to consume it for two reasons. The first reason is that I believe I can easily become addicted and dependent on it. The second reason is for all the negative health effects associated with it. This article works to eliminate my second reason, at least parts of it. Over the years, I had heard about all the negative effects coffee has on the heart and in that, how it could lead to diseases or bodily problems. I see through this article, that those fears or ideas might be incorrect or at least need to be double checked. This article still doesn't change the fact that I won't consume coffee but if given research about coffee addiction, I could be swayed.
